Welcome to the Hanaya Ochaya (tea house).Based in Shirogane, the Hanaya bridges the east and west. It is a well known establishment that focuses on bringing people together for drink, celebration, song, dance, and more.The Hanaya is also considered an Okiya (boarding house) for 'geiko' (geisha) and their apprentice 'maiko'.

'The Flower House in Shirogane'The Hanaya is located on the island nation of Hingashi, the recently re-established tea house built in the aftermath of the tragedy that had destroyed the once famous 'Kugane no Hanaya'.The tea house is currently run by the geisha Sa'ke, who is proprietress of the ochaya and also serves as mother to the okiya.
History
The Hanaya was originally established within the Rakuza District of Kugane, Hingashi. It was the dream made reality of the once popular geiko (geisha) Hanakichi (Flower of Bliss).Successful in her career, Hanakichi eventually retired to take over as the proprietress of the ochaya and mother to her newly established tea house. The Hanaya became an instant success as geiko who were once rivals and friends flocked to her establishment to entertain the elite members of Hingan society, initially the same clientele that the geiko Hanakichi once entertained, and their guests. This clientele became the seeds from which the Hanaya bloomed.In her elder years, the dream of Hanakichi ended tragically. Hanakichi 'Grandmother' and the Hana Sisters of the okiya, may their souls rest in peace, were lost in a tragic fire that ravaged Kugane no Hanaya.Upon her passing, the business was inherited by the rising geiko (geisha) known as Sa'ke.

Gyoza a native of Othard took to the filet knife early in life. One of the most talented Sushi artists in all of Hydaelyn, they are the heart of all the savory culinary delights served at the Hanaya!
Yamazakaru, although a trained maiko, has found her current passion in overseeing the operational support and management of the Hanaya staff and maintaining the schedules for Sa'ke and Makie.

Sa'ke (geiko)
Sa'ke is a celebrated geiko (geisha) in Hingashi. Her name is also well known in Eorzea having entertained in La Noscea and Thanalan for several rotations whilst she was still maiko, and even now she returns as geiko to entertain those who call upon her.Sa'ke's duty is first to the combined Hanaya Ochaya and Okiya (tea house and boarding house respectively.) As 'Mother' of the Hanaya, Sa'ke she oversees the entertainment of the patrons, the training of her apprentice Maiko, and management of the tea house staff.
Makie is a rising star at the Hanaya. Known for her wonderful conversational skills and ability to make any guest comfortable.Makie, although coming into the flower and willow world of the entertainment districts in Hingashi later in life than most maiko, has proven herself to be a very talented and dedicated student.All the beautiful wagashi sweets served at the Hanaya are creations of this maiko!
